We collect data when you complete a registration form or post a project with us. We may collect both personal data (such as your name and contact details) and also corporate data including company name, contact details and information regarding project assignments or recruitment needs.

We collect data when you complete a registration form and when you apply for projects. We collect personal data such as name, contact information, work experience included in your profile and CVs. We do not explicitly collect or store sensitive data, although if this information is contained within your CV then this information will be saved, but not processed.
Our provider of background check services may collect additional data about you (if needed). Once you are admitted to the Network and you are matched with a Client, we will receive from our Clients information regarding the performance of your services to that Client, as necessary for maintaining standards of integrity and excellence in our Network.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
2.1 To deliver our services to you
Your information will be used to create your own profile and use our website service. We use your data such as profiles, projects to help other find you and suggest connection between clients and experts.
For experts, we use the information we collect to provide, maintain and improve our services so that we can identify and send you suitable project opportunities or advertise your course and program. For clients, we use the information we collect to provide, maintain and improve our services to you so that we can find and recommend you the most suitable experts for your projects and make this process as efficient as possible for both parties.
2.2 To keep you updated
We also keep you stay informed about events, workshop and projects that you may have registered. We also use your contact information to send notifications via email, including conducting verifications of profiles, checking credentials, responding to your emails and requests, providing customer support, sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages. These communications methods are an essential part of our services and in most cases, you cannot opt out of them. If an opt-out option is available, you will find that option in your account settings.
2.3 To promote and market ExpertVietnam, our services and our websites
We may use your identity, contact and profile information and usage data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which services, events or offers may be relevant for you.
You will receive direct marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or if you provided us with your details when you registered with us and, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing. We may contact you to let you know about our services, new features and how they may benefit you, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with ExpertVietnam and our products.
Where we use your personal information to send you marketing information by email, SMS, MMS or other electronic means we may do so with your express or implied consent. You may give us your express consent by, for example, ticking a box on an electronic form or signing a paper form. Consent may be implied from our existing business relationship or where you have a reasonable expectation of receiving electronic marketing communication.
You may opt-out of receiving marketing information from us by using the unsubscribe link within each email or by contacting us to have your contact information removed from our email subscription list or registration database.
3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
Your full profile is only visible if clients use points to unlock full view your profile. If not, they can only view a short profile with limited information such as name, job title, latest project.
When you post an article on your blog publicly it can be viewed by everyone and re-shared anywhere. Members, Visitors and others will be able to find and see your publicly-shared content, including your name (and photo if you have provided one).
4. HOW WE SECURE INFORMATION
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information you provide to us from loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized access or disclosure. We implement various security measures to protect the security of your personal information, both online and offline, as well as regularly monitoring our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. And if any data breach is detected, it will be identified and remedial steps implemented.
5. YOUR RIGHTS TO YOUR INFORMATION
- Update and change your information: You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information concerning you by emailing email@example.com.
- Deleting your information: If you no longer want us to keep your personal information, you may request that we delete your personal information by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org

6. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
We may keep some of your data even after you close your account.
If you choose to close your account, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others on our Services within 24 hours. We generally delete closed account information within 30 days of account closure, except as noted below.
We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our User Agreement, or fulfill your request to "unsubscribe" from further messages from us. We will retain de-personalized information after your account has been closed.
Information you have shared with others will remain visible after you close your account or delete the information from your own profile or mailbox, and we do not control data that other Members have copied out of our Services. Groups content and ratings or review content associated with closed accounts will show an unknown user as the source. Your profile may continue to be displayed in the services of others (e.g., search engine results) until they refresh their cache.
7. DATA RETENTION
We generally retain your personal data as long as you keep your account open. This includes data you or others provided to us and data generated or inferred from your use of our Services. If you have elected to receive marketing communications from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences until you opt out of receiving these communications and in accordance with our policies.
